My name is Barry and I love the sunshine state.

I grew up on Long Island, New York where I still have family and lifelong friends.  My accent is genuine.  I attended Long Island University at C.W. Post where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice/ Political Science and a Masters Degree in Public Administration.  When I was 23, I joined the New York City Police Department where I was a Detective Sergeant and spent a majority of my career supervising the greatest detectives in the world.  After 20 years of dedicated and honorable service I happily retired to Northeast Pennsylvania.  While living in Pennsylvania, I trained to be a volunteer firefighter and responded to over 200 calls a year.  I also started a very successful small business where I soft washed and cleaned windows for thousands of clients.  If I was not busy enough, I was elected and served as Vice President of a large homeowners association with over 3200 homes.

After living my entire life in the northeast, the cold, the snow, amongst other factors, I completed extensive and exhaustive research on sunny and warm Florida.  Everything I learned led me to the Gulf Coast and I found my great new hometown of Venice.  I feel like I’m living the dream!

If you take into account my life experience, there is one common denominator.  I love helping people!!  I am a people person.  I no longer chase bad guys with guns down dark alleys nor do I run into burning houses to help people, so I took on the endeavor of assisting you through what can be a daunting and stressful transaction.  I have personally purchased and sold homes, dealt with bylaws and covenants of an H.O.A. and co-op boards very closely.  Whether you are selling a home I will be sure to professionally market your property,  buying a resale or new construction, I will present you with homes that meet your criteria as well as walk you through the process from contract, home inspection, mortgage and title to closing.  Utilizing my vast network of contacts, I will make the process as simple as possible giving you personalized and professional service.
